CHAOS is the first collection by JAH, comprising seven works in acrylic on canvas, ranging from small to large format. Each piece was painted while listening to electronic music, in particular the work of Marc Romboy, whose rhythms and textures guided the gesture and pace of the process. Music became a way into a state of trance, a channel through which structure gives way to instinct.
The collection embodies a contraction between the frame, the canvas as a bounded space, and the chaotic freedom offered by that trance. Across the seven works, control and abandon meet : a dialogue between the discipline of the surface and the unpredictability of the emotion it carries.
